Keep Pro Tools from crashing...
How many times we have been in our bedroom recording our next hit and all of the sudden Pro Tools decides to crash. We hate the world, we hate our computer, and we hate ourselves, because we forgot to save our progress.
The video below is part of a video/podcast series I called "the ranting series". In this series, I will be discussing the frustrations and topics that every Sound Engineer/ Musician encounters on their journey and nobody wants to talk about.
I am pretty sure this series is going to be a little controversial, and I will gain so many haters!, but we are all here to learn, and this is just my opinion.
Yes!!! It is so annoying.

(MY TIP)
Before Starting Pro Tools
To avoid any possible errors when starting Pro Tools, ALWAYS make sure that you properly turn on your hardware. Follow this order to help you get used to the routine.
- Make sure all your equipment is off (Including computer).
- If you are using external HardDrives turn them on and wait 10 seconds for them to spin up to speed.
- Turn on your audio interface. (note: some interfaces get their power from your computer)
- Start your computer.
- Turn on your speakers and monitor devices.
I hope you enjoy,
Angel De Luna.
